DACA and work permits

Keep your work permit current

Renewals filed on time, work permit applications for people who qualify, and a straight answer about what the rules allow right now.

The rules and court orders around DACA have changed more than once. We check the current status before you file, tell you plainly what is possible, and never ask you to pay for a filing the agency is not accepting.

What this covers

  • DACA renewal (Forms I-821D and I-765)

  • Work permit renewals in other categories

  • Travel permission questions

  • Screening for other options

How it goes

A renewal, start to finish

The date on your card sets the calendar.

  1. 01

Step 1: Check status and your date

We confirm the current rules and mark your renewal window on our calendar.

  2. 02

    Step 2: Collect the updates

Address history, any new police record and a passport-style photo.

  3. 03

    Step 3: We file

You review the forms with us by video, sign, and we send them in.

  4. 04

    Step 4: Track and replace

We follow the receipt and the new card, and we explain any notice.

The fee

Two renewals, each with a flat fee

Written down before you pay.

  • DACA renewal

Forms I-821D and I-765 for one person. A first-time request is assessed case by case, so it isn't part of this fee.

    • Status and date check

    • Forms and evidence

    • Filing and tracking

    • Reply to routine notices

  • Work permit renewal

Form I-765, for work permits in a category that allows renewal.

    • Eligibility check

    • Form I-765 and evidence

    • Filing and tracking

Government filing fees are paid to the agency, not to us, and the agency changes them. We confirm the current amount in writing before you file.

Good to know

Before you renew DACA

When should I renew?

The agency asks for renewals well before the permit ends. We put your date on our calendar the day you hire us.

Can I apply for the first time?

That depends on the court orders in force right now. We tell you on the first call, and we will not take money for a request the agency can't accept.

What if my permit already expired?

Call us now. Some people can still renew, and others need a different plan.

Ready for a price in writing?

Tell us what you need. We'll reply with the filing, the fee and what to gather.

The first call or text is free. Government filing fees are separate.
