Arlette Saldivar

Founding attorney

Arlette started the firm so that a family could ask what a green card costs and hear one answer.

Arlette grew up in northwest Arkansas, where her mother cleaned offices and learned English at night. She practiced at a general firm before opening Saldivar & Strickland to do immigration work on flat fees. She handles family petitions and green cards, and she reads every first-time intake herself.

Outside the office she coaches a youth soccer team and bakes for the church sale.

Focus

  • Family petitions

Why flat fees

An hourly bill makes a family afraid to call. A flat fee lets them call as often as they need to, and it lets us tell them the total on day one. Arlette set the fees by working out how many hours each filing really takes.
